The Camp Koinonia
OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Camp Koinonia exists to provide outdoor
education/camping/recreation programs for children with multiple
disabling conditions and who are between the ages of seven and
twenty-two.  These opportunities are provided to the children
regardless of the financial status of the family.  The program is to be
provided in an outdoor setting and each child will be ‘matched’ with a
student from The University of Tennessee.

The word Koinonia comes from the Greek and means ‘fellowship’
and ‘caring community.’  Therefore, the purpose of Camp Koinonia is
to provide, for all who participate,  the opportunity for fellowship in a
caring community.
